Spring has sprung, and as I mentioned last week, I've wasted no time getting in the mood. I've gone back to blonde (more on that below!) and am already reaching for my favorite spring-y lip shade—Violette's Petal Bouche Matte in spicy, saturated pink Cœur Infidèle—and accessories, like the vintage butterfly necklace (see above^) I debuted over the weekend. Leave it to the season of new beginnings to inspire a style refresh. I hope you're feeling similarly invigorated by what's blossoming around you!

I love vanilla scents year-round, so upon first whiff, I know I'll be adding Guerlain's new juice Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21—a rich ambery, woody interpretation of the gourmand note—to my spring fragrance wardrobe. I'm also so excited to dive into Summery Friday's new Jet Lag Overnight Eye Serum (a personal recommendation from Byrdie editor in chief, Hallie Gould!) and Yon-Ka's Taiga Candle, which not only boasts a spicy citrus scent, but melts down to a massage oil laced with sesame oil, shea butter, and mango butter. A true two-for! Finally, I was in desperate need of a restock of RŌZ's Milk Hair Serum, which I love for refreshing my curls in between washes.

The Laundress Delicate Wash

Last fall, I got reacquainted with The Laundress's full range of laundry offerings, and since then I've been on a new path of hand-washing all of my delicates, from lace bras to silk slip dresses. Their Delicate Wash is not only gentler on my clothes, leaving them with a light, elegant scent (that's perfect for spring, might I add!), but also gives me a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship and long-term maintenance of my most special pieces. I've been relishing the tactile and relaxing ritual each week.

Balayage Highlights

Highlights for spring…groundbreaking! I know it's painfully obvious, but I can't emphasize enough what a few tactfully placed, hand-painted highlights can do to punch up your hair's dimension and warm up your skin. I visited my colorist, Jenna Perry, to bring me back to blonde with a subtle balayage—and I feel like a whole new person. Don't take my word for it: Rihanna and Zendaya have also gone blonder just in time for spring—and it's taking their lit-from-within glows to astonishing new levels!
